Discover the surroundings of Latrop – on foot, by bicycle or by car: the region around Schmallenberg called Sauerland offers perfect tours for everyone.
Furthermore, Latrop offers many other clearly marked short- and long-distance walking and hiking trails.
On the Rothaarsteig Hiking Trail you will find untouched nature and you may experience and enjoy nature with all your senses.
This is also the right place to start your bicycle tour: either by mountain bike in the forest or by touring bicycle on the "Lenneroute" or "Sauerlandradring" – well marked cycling paths which are close-by Latrop.
By car you can explore the "Hochsauerland Höhenstraße" which is a circle drive leading over the mountain ranges and passing through most beautiful landscape and idyllic villages with timbered houses which are typical for this region.
Or you may visit one of the numerous leisure parks, artificial lakes or caves in the neighbourhood. Many sport activities are possible in our region: swimming, ice skating, golf or tennis – take your chance!
Especially in winter, Latrop is also worth a visit. In addition to cleared winter hiking trails you will also find prepared cross-country ski tracks. And alpine skiing areas can easily be reached by car. E.g. the well-known ski resort Winterberg can be reached within a 30 minutes drive by car. And the busses leaving from Schmallenberg will even take you to Winterberg free of charge!
